A lot can be said about the recent events in our Jewish homeland. I feel a mixture of rage and pride for my people and a land I love.

Rage at the quick trigger of the UN Security Council to condemn Israel for trying to protect her self from Gaza rockets, but the failure to condemn this attack. Rage that Palestinians throw a party.

Rage that we are compared to Nazi’s, making our own Holocaust in Gaza. Do you ever read a fucking history book? When were we lobbing rockets at Germans all day? There is no question the Holocaust was a simple case of Christian based hatred for Jews. You always hate the ones that hold the secret to your lies. More pathetic is the use of this term, which is loaded and used with a particular kind of double sided hate; as it undermines the power of the term and simultaneously enrages Jews.

Rage at the restraint of Israel. If you are going to be damned either way, just level the place. Push them into the ocean.

Rage that no matter what concessions we give, we lose.

Pride that my people will bounce back and not let this slow the only democratic nation in the region. A nation which is not perfect, but affords the Arab citizens a hell of a lot more latitude than the other way around.

Pride that this is the first attack since 2004 and it vindicates the security fence.

Pride at the restraint of Israel. We are not barbarians, we calculate and surgically strike.

Pride that when Israel does respond it will matter.

Pride that our heritage helps us understand this battle:

A Psalm of Asaph. O God, the heathen are come into Thine inheritance; they have defiled Thy holy temple; they have made Jerusalem into heaps.

2 They have given the dead bodies of Thy servants to be food unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of Thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.

3 They have shed their blood like water round about Jerusalem, with none to bury them.

Psalm 79

The Vatican - the most antiquated and irrelevant institution left over from the middle ages! How you amuse! So the Palestinians have a right to return to Israel, do they? That is a wonderful sentiment! When will you return what you stole from Israel? When will you aid in the reclamation of Jewish lands stolen by the Arabs? Or those taken by your charges the Spanish? Or the Germans (of which your leader is one vile specimen!).

Do us all a favor and shut up. We are reminded that people who live in thieving class kid toucher houses shouldn’t throw stones.

paAre you following all this Gaza madness? Maybe it is revenge for Gaza’s role in a creating a false Messiah? I doubt it. Ever wonder why the residents of Gaza are so poor - no milk, etc… - but it seems as if everyone has guns, masks, flags, rockets, etc…? Who was it that said you can tell a lot of about the priorities of a person by what he spends his money on? I wonder if we had photographs of our war for independence you would have seen kids everywhere in the middle of the battle? It is hard to take this seriously when the Palestinians do not value themselves enough not to let this happen.

Notice this quote from the NYTimes:

“This is the beginning of the separation of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank,” said Mr. Abusada, referring to the two territories that were eventually supposed to comprise an independent Palestinian state. “This is the lowest point in our struggle. We Palestinians are writing the final chapters of our national enterprise.”

Or this one from Haaretz:

…Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal said… “Today the Palestinians have come close to putting by themselves the last nail in the coffin of the Palestinian cause…”

One can only hope! Let us see how this all unfolds. It is interesting to say the least!!! ✡

Doctor? My opinion is pretty clear on this. Stop acting up and you will have a nation lickity-split. I have written about ‘The Arc‘ and other rumination about the Palestinian issue. It has come up recently in the guise of 40th anniversary celebrations of the 6 Day War from The Economist to a read of Time from the week after. I bet I am not the only one who wishes the war went to the next logical step: integration. But a reminder of why it didn’t is available from StandWishUs.com. Take a quick read from the Hamas Charter:

With their money, they took control of the world media, news agencies, the press, publishing houses, broadcasting stations, and others…They were behind the French Revolution, the Communist revolution and most of the revolutions we heard and hear about, here and there. With their money they formed secret societies, such as Freemasons, Rotary Clubs, the Lions and others in different parts of the world for the purpose of sabotaging societies and achieving Zionist interests. With their money they were able to control imperialistic countries and instigate them to colonize many countries in order to enable them to exploit their resources and spread corruption there.

Want to take a stab at who the “they” might be in this? Hold on I have to file my horns down, then I can answer. Ok done. This is all really simple. People hate Jews, as Mamet says, and the Arabs are poor losers in wars they started. So Fuck you. ✡

I do not think I need to comment at all. This stands for itself.

Egyptian MP: Nothing will work with Israel except nuclear bomb - By The Associated Press

Israeli excavations near the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem sparked angry reactions on Monday from Egyptian parliament members, including one who said only a nuclear bomb could stop Israel.

The excavations, which aim to salvage artefacts before construction of a pedestrian bridge leading to the complex also sacred to Jews, have angered many Muslims who fear the work will harm the foundations of al-Aqsa mosque. Israel says the holy places will not be harmed.

“That cursed Israel is trying to destroy al-Aqsa mosque,” Mohammed el-Katatny of President Hosni Mubarak’s National Democratic Party (NDP) told a heated parliament session held to discuss the Israeli digging.

“Nothing will work with Israel except for a nuclear bomb that wipes it out of existence,” he said.

Egypt was the first Arab state to sign a peace treaty with Israel in 1979, but many Egyptians still regard Israel as an enemy because of its continued conflict with Palestinians.

Several Egyptian lawmakers at Monday’s session called on the government to abolish all agreements with Israel, but the house has little say in national security issues or foreign policy, ultimately dictated by Mubarak who has rejected similar calls in the past.

“The war with Israel is still ongoing whether we like it or not,” NDP lawmaker Khalifa Radwan said.

Mohamed Amer, another ruling party member, said: “What this [Israeli] gang is doing makes me demand that we trample over all the agreements we signed.”

Israeli authorities said on Monday they would reconsider the planned construction work near the mosque in response to Muslim protests but would continue to search for ancient artefacts in the area.

Hot on the heals of accusations of war crimes, excessive force, and other hot air from the Old World there comes news of an impending problem in Gaza:

Yuval Diskin, director of Israel’s Shin Bet Security Services, told the Knesset last month that since the Jewish state withdrew from Gaza, the Palestinians successfully have transferred from the neighboring Egyptian Sinai desert hundreds of tons of advanced rockets; anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles; rocket propelled grenades; raw explosives; rifles; ammunition and other heavy weaponry.

“If we don’t move to counter this smuggling, it will continue and create a situation in Gaza similar to the one in southern Lebanon,” Diskin said.

And the response from the terrorists:

“I think Diskin made those statements to try to distract the Israelis from their losses in Lebanon by focusing on another area, but he is right. We are turning Gaza into south Lebanon.” (emphasis added)

Well EU and UN where are you now? Haven’t you been supposedly monitoring the crossing between Egypt and Gaza? Look what a good job you have been doing. Better yet, at the head of this effort are the Italians. Again, soccer, yes, clothing, yes, hard work and diplomacy, no. How’s suggesting that we mail Iran nukes for diplomacy? No thanks, back to your pasta, please.

Europe: you have the warning, you have the will, so it seems, immediately if you want to prevent 500,000 Palestinian deaths, do something about this situation. Explain to them that poking the snake is not going to get them what they want. Terrorists might kill 100 Israelis, but they still will live in the shit box of Gaza, with no power, no government, no economy, no social welfare, no nothing.

I am scared, however, because the response from Israel to a large attack from Gaza will not be minor given the post Lebanon ‘06 mindset. That is the Aquarian in me, the New Yorkers in me says, lay waste while the sun shines.
